What this site sets

Nothing. No analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels, no local storage. Every page here can be read with cookies switched off.

The checkout

One page is different. /harbour/buy loads Paddle's checkout, and when you open the checkout overlay Paddle sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies so the payment can complete and fraud can be spotted:

paddle_checkout
Keeps the state of the checkout you have open, so the overlay survives a step or a reload.
paddle_session
Identifies the checkout session to Paddle's servers while the payment is being processed.
_paddle_ref
Ties the payment back to the order it came from, which is part of Paddle's fraud checks.

These are Paddle's cookies, not ours, and we cannot read them. The names above are the ones Paddle publishes for its checkout and they may change if Paddle changes its checkout. Paddle documents its cookie use in its privacy policy.

Why there is no cookie banner

The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. These three are strictly necessary — without them the checkout cannot keep your session or take the payment — so they are exempt. Since we set nothing else at all, there is nothing to ask you about, and a banner would be noise.

Clearing them

Clear them in your browser's settings whenever you like, the same as any other site data. Nothing breaks; if you start another checkout, Paddle sets them again.
